Paola Chatelle commence l’étude de la harpe chromatique à l’âge de 7 ans à l’Académie de Musique instrumentale de Schaerbeek dans la classe d’Odile Tackoen. Elle poursuit ses études au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Francette Bartholomée où elle obtient plusieurs premiers prix dont celui de harpe chromatique, de harpe à pédales, 2 prix spéciaux (Doulton de Try et Jean Risler), le prix de Musique de Chambre ainsi que le diplôme Supérieur de harpe à pédales.
A donné de nombreux concerts tant en Belgique qu’à l’étranger (Pays-Bas, Allemagne, Suisse) sur la harpe chromatique et sur la harpe à pédales.
Actuellement se consacre essentiellement à la recherche et interprétation de partitions originales inédites écrites pour la harpe chromatique.
Titulaire de la classe de harpe de l’Académie de Schaerbeek depuis 1988.

Paola Chatelle vangt op 7-jarige leeftijd haar studie van de chromatische harp aan bij Odile Tackoen in de Muziekacademie van Schaarbeek. Zij zet deze studie verder in het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel onder de hoede van Francette Bartholomée. Hier behaalt zij meerdere prijzen waaronder de 1e Prijs Chromatische Harp, 1e Prijs Pedaalharp, de prijzen Doulton de Try en Jean Risler, de 1e Prijs van Kamermuziek en eveneens het Hoger Diploma van pedaalharp.
Zij heeft ontelbare concerten gespeeld op de chromatische harp en op de harp met pedalen, zowel in België als in het buitenland (Nederland, Duitsland, Zwitserland).
Op dit ogenblik houdt zij zich voornamelijk bezig met het opsporen en vertolken van onuitgegeven partituren die in oorsprong voor de chromatische harp geschreven werden.
Zij is sinds 1988 titularis van de lessen harp aan de Academie van Schaarbeek.

Paola Chatelle started studying the cross-strung harp at the age of 7 in “the Académie de Musique instrumentale de Schaerbeek” (Brussels) under the wings of Odile Tackoen. Later on she studied in the “Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles” with Francette Bartholomée where she obtained several first prices, e.g. the First Prize for the cross-strung harp, the First Prize for the pedal harp, and 2 special prices (Doulton de Try and Jean Risler), the Price for Chamber Music and the “diplôme Supérieur de harpe à pédales”.
She played numerous concerts in Belgium and abroad (the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland), playing the chromatic harp and the pedal harp.
Actually she spends more time in the research and playing of pieces originally written for the cross-strung harp.
Since 1988 she is the headmaster of the harp course in the “Académie de Schaerbeek” (Brussels).
